MASTER ABEL UCELO
Abel is the second child of Master Ucelo. Abel was exposed to the Martial
Arts at a very young age. Since a little kid, Abel admired his father and his
dream has been to be as good as him in the Martial Arts. Abel started
practicing in 1989, at the age of four, under Master Ucelo's instruction at the
Ucelo Martial Arts Studio in
In 1998, with the presence of Grand Master Jun Chong, Abel got his Black Belt. Abel has successfully competed at many tournaments. In 2003 Abel won the first place (Black Belt Category) in "kumite" (sparring) and has been the Grand Champion in "kata" (traditional form) for three years in a row (2003 - 2005) at the World's United Martial Arts Organization Championship. In addition to his Tae Kwon Do training, Abel has practiced Sai Jut Su (the art of Sai).
In 2007, Abel achieved his 3rd Dan certification; he is currently training and is the Chief Instructor at Ucelo Martial Arts in Arizona as well as for the mobile programs offered by the school.
He continues to follow Master Ucelo's footsteps and is looking forward to
keep alive Traditional Martial Arts and the UCELO legacy.
